Jacob Trevino is a hospitality entrepreneur, consultant, experience designer, and speaker based in Cincinnati, Ohio, with nearly two decades of experience creating bars, restaurants, cocktail programs, and immersive guest experiences.
As the Founder and CEO of Gorilla Cinema Presents, Trevino has built a reputation for approaching hospitality differently, treating a bar or restaurant not simply as a place to eat and drink, but as an opportunity to tell a story. Since launching Gorilla Cinema in 2014, he has created and operated an extensive portfolio of concepts including The Overlook Lodge, Tokyo Kitty, Lonely Pine Steakhouse, La Ofrenda, Tiki Tiki Bang Bang, Cosmic Gorilla, Highball, Palm Valley Cocktails, and a rotating collection of immersive pop-ups and experiential events.
His work has received national attention from outlets including The New York Times, Condé Nast, Playboy, USA Today, Liquor.com, Bar & Restaurant, Cincinnati Magazine, Ohio Magazine, and others. The Overlook Lodge has been recognized by Playboy and USA Today among the top bars in the United States, while Cosmic Gorilla received Most Original Concept recognition at the National Bar & Restaurant Expo.
Beyond operating his own concepts, Trevino has worked as a consultant and creative partner for brands including PepsiCo/Frito-Lay, Kroger, Casamigos, Bacardi, Código Tequila, Bozal Mezcal, Kirk & Sweeney Rum, and others, helping companies translate their brands into memorable real-world experiences. His work has ranged from beverage development and hospitality operations to experiential marketing, concept development, brand activation, and immersive storytelling.
